Gary graduated from the University of Alabama with a Civil Engineering Degree. He also has a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech. Gary served in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps and retired with the Rank of Commander. Seabees Can Do. He has a Professional Engineering License and a Florida Certified General Contractor's License.

Gary retired from Pirtle Construction in 2016 as Vice President here in South Florida. He has constructed many projects in Palm Beach County and throughout South Florida. As a LEED Accredited Professional BD+C with the US Green Building Council, he totally believes and knows that sustainable construction and practices will create a healthier environment and give our lives a much more sustainable future.
